Customise formula in Flag field

I am trying to put a formula in a Flag field to test if a date field is
filled in or not

e.g. Formula in flag 1 =[Finish1]>0.

The flag field result has "Yes" if there is a date, but #ERROR if no date
(shown as NA) in [Finish1] field. I can't get then get a format bar style to
recognise the #ERROR and fomat the bar based on the flag.

Anyone know the formula to test if a value is a date or NA??

I know it's probably not the way to use the Finish1 field, but I'm trying to
import about 15 dates for each of 350 tasks from a database.

Any help would be appreciated.
