Customising Access Templates

L

Lucy Nave

I've downloaded the Issues Register template from Access and am trying to
turn 1 of the databases into a Contract Management database and the other
into an Action List Database.

I am having trouble customising the forms and tables names without error
messages appearing such as:

"The form name "ISSUES" refers to a form that doesn't exist".

I've changed all references to ISSUES in tables, forms and macros that I can
find so that they all read Action List but I am obviously not doing something
right.

Is there a quick way that I can change the name of tables and forms without
having to manually alter all the macros, sub forms, links, etc.

Thank you
Lucy

Lucy,

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I do not believe there is any magical way to
do this. It has to be done manually and therefore opens the door wide open
for errors to find there way in.

If someone else knows of an easy way to do this, I would love to know as well!

FYI, always check object dependencies before renaming things, that way you
know what the bject depends on (record souce for example) and what object
depend on it, like a query for example
