Customising Bar Style Shapes

Hello,
Is there a way for me to create my own shapes to be used as the
end-points of a bar in the Gantt Chart view rather than using the defaults
shapes supplied with project. And if it is possible then would they be
portable to another user if they copied my schedule.

This is not possible. You are limited to the shapes included in the
software. Sorry.
