Customising the Project Guide

Hi

I was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on how to customise the project guide. I have searched for documentation on this but have not come up with anything. I see that the option is to link to HTML and XML files, but are there any examples of what these files should look like? Any help would be appreciated
