Customize a Module View in project

Gabriele

Hi,
I can't understand how I can customize a module view in project. I
discovered that I could change and build my own immission module
throught the module editor but it is not the kind of module I want! I
need to customize a module view.
I hope my problem is clear and resolvable
Any suggestion will be valued.

Hi,

What exactly is it that you want to do?

Hi,
I would like to build a module in which an user, poining on a cell in
a table or on a bar in a gantt diagram, can display some field related
with the selected task. It's similiar to the "tasks module" or "name
tasks module" (I don't know if they are the right names because I'm
trying to translate them from my italian version) you can view on the
bottom of the screen when on the top you have a gantt diagram. My
problem is that these modules don't have the custom fields I created,
so I can't display them when I select a task.
I hope my target is clearer now...
Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi,

You can't create new types of views in Project, but you can create different
versions of standard views. For example you could create a Task sheet (the
Gantt chart without the bars) and have it display a table that has just the
columns you want. To do this:

Select View, Table, More Tables then create a new table that shows the
columns you want.
Select View, More Views and create a new view of type Task Sheet. Select the
new table you just created

Select Window Split,
select the lower screen then select the new view you created. Now when you
click on the task in the top window you will see all the extra columns you
selected for the new table/view in the lower screen.

Hi Gabriele,

Did you know there is an Italian language newsgroup? Try

Rod,

It sounds to me like she means the Forms that appear on the bottom
half of the screen when you click Window>Split. If that's the case, I
don't think you can customize those forms, can you?
