Customize Email

Does anybody knows in details how to change the default email notifications,
let' say 'notificaton for new tasks'. I' ve read the doc:
PDR_Project_Server_E-mail_3348.asp' and thought to change the records in
msp_web_conversions and msp_web_notifications_Events but without success.
Any help is welcome.
