Hello,
I'm trying to customize and/or remove the My Places bar in the Office
open/save dialog boxes in Office XP on Windows 2k/XP boxes in my 2000
domain. I have about 150+ machines and although I know you can do it via a
registry hack, I'd have to visit every PC for that. And it would do it for
the entire PC no matter who logged in, and I'd like it to only affect a
certain group of users.
I've downloaded the Office ADM template files for Active Directory but I
can't find any setting in there that customizes the My Places bar. Am I
just missing it?
Also, is there a way to set the default file open/save location in Office
applications through the ADM files? I know you can during the install with
the Custom Installation Wizard, and maybe via the registry too. But again
I'd have to hit every machine.
