Customize Office Update?

Is there a way to get Office Update to stop showing updates I don't want?
for example, the updates for French Spell Check and Thesaurus? Do I need to
uninstall a language pack? How to do that?

Also, does anyone know why Office Update is showing me an update for Word
2002 when I upgraded to Office 2003 about 4 months ago? Is there a way to
prevent this? A registry hack perhaps?

Thanks!

Hi Dewey,

You can use the combined Windows/Office update site
http://update.microsoft.com to hide updates.

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control
panel to see if you have any 2002 series products.
If you had, for example, MS Works Suite and it installed
a standalone Word 2002, the Office 2003 upgrade generally
would not have removed that.

Hi Dewey,

Nice site but it does not search for Office updates. Do I need to tell it
to do this?

I had Office XP installed but upgraded to Office 2003. I did leave
Frontpage 2002 installed as my 2003 suite lacked it. And so in Add/Remove
the entire Office XP suite is still listed. I suppose I could uninstall it
and then just reinstall Frontpage.

Thanks for the advice.
