Customize OLAP cubes

Hello,

While generating a DataAnalysis view from the Timesheet OLAP Cube in Project
Server 2007, I noticed that the ordering of the weeks in the Time dimension
is wrong. The weeks are ordered alphabetically, not by their value.

This results in the wrong order of weeks in for example March 2008, (Week
10, Week 11, Week 12, Week 13, Week 14, Week 9). Also, the weeks are splitted
over Month and Quarter boundaries. This makes some weeks show up twice in the
report.

To fix the ordering, I customized the time dimension using BIDS. I also
created another time dimension that does not have Quarters and Months. Now
the reports work perfectly.

However, when I choose to rebuild the OLAP cube in Project Server, al my
changes are reset; the added dimension is removed, and the reports break.
This only happens when I rebuild the cube, not when I just process it.

Not rebuilding the cubes is not an option, the customer wants to be able to
do this.

My question is: Is there any way to add my changes and the new dimension
automatically to the cubes when I choose to rebuild them?

the only way to achieve that is to write a custom event handler and leverage
AMO, check this:
