Hi,
I have two Windows 2003 Citrix Servers that both have Microsoft Office
2000 already installed on them. I would like to automate the outlook
setup wizard for a new user so they do not have to call the help desk
for the setup information. This is the wizard that gives the user an
option between "Microsoft Exchange Server" and "Internet E-mail". I
want this process to be invisible to the user. That way they don't
have to enter in the exchange server name, mailbox name, etc. I have
already created a .mst file and tried peroforming a "reinstallation" of
Office using that .mst file. However, the settings I put in "Customize
Outlook Installation Options" screen did not work. I am not sure if I
am missing something or not. Do I need to remove Office completly and
do a fresh install? I've looked into newprof.exe and other utilities
that claim to help create .prf files. I could not get the newprof.exe
file to even run. Can someone point me in the right direction? I
would greatly appreciate it.
