Customize outlook today button not working... any help??

My client is running a new Dell with windows xp pro and office 2000 pro corp
edition. She has been having nothing but problems with it. one of the big
ones is that the "customize outlook today" button is not working at all.
does anyone know of a fix or what could be causing the problem?
