Customize telephone number format in Outlook

Outlook Questions from TAS

before I have to manually insert parentheses around area codes and hyphens
between the first three and the last four number of the telephone numbers in
Outlook. In ACT I just put in the 10 numbers and ACT automatically formats
them correctly. Is there a way that Outlook can be formatted to do this for
me automatically?

Outlook does too once you set your dialing location correctly for your
operating system.
