Customize Timescale?

I know how to chance the timescale in the Resource Usage view based on the
options they allow me (year, half year, month, third of a month, week, day,
etc...). However, these views don't show me what I need to see. I need to
see every two weeks per month (i.e. April 1-15, April 16-30, May 1-15,
etc...). I can't seem to customize the timescale to do this. I tried to set
it at Thirds of a Month and then put the Count at 1.5, but it only lets you
input whole numbers in this field. I would be extremely useful to view my
data in this form, is there any way to?

SBARR,
Is there a way to do it? Yes. Using the existing Project timescale
settings? No.

For the "yes" answer the data would need to be exported to another
application (e.g. Excel) so it can be grouped into two week or
half-month periods as you desire. There are a couple of ways to do that
depending on how much breakout (i.e. task, resource, etc.) you need for
the data. If a total hour value per task or resource is sufficient, you
can use the "Analyze timescaled data in Excel" utility found on the
"Analysis" toolbar. You will get slightly different results depending on
which view you export from. If however, you need a full breakout, (ref
your other post), then a custom VBA macro is your best bet. Using VBA is
like Alice's restaurant - you can get anything you want.

SBARR,
Right click on your time scale and change your middle tier units to years
and the count to 1 and change your Bottom Tier Units to weeks and your count
to 2.
That should show you everything in two week groups.

Hope this helps.
