Customized Columns

Jim Rowan PMP

Project Server 2007. Global templates are loaded at launch of Project.

I'm creating a dashboard, and I've customized a "few" number columns to
include formulas and graphical indicators that reference MSP standard (MSP
calculated) and custom column (manually entered) data. Works fine until....

When adding a custom text column, with a lookup table, my graphical
indicator "value" criteria in ALL of the custom number columns round from
decimal to the next largest whole number (e.g. .85 becomes 1, 1.25 becomes 2,
etc.) which breaks the condition for the graphical indicator. Cannot edit
back to the desired value. Turning off the lookup function across the Project
allows me to reset the indicator value and save it.

Is this preventable? Is there something I've done to cause this?

Sounds like a bug to me. I've not seen that before, but I have seen a bug
which changes values by a factor of 100...
I'd probably file it aas a bug with Microsoft..

One possible work-around would be to change the scale for your numbers. So
if you had a calculation which gave a value of 0.85 I'd increase it by 100 to
give a percent. Then the value would be 85 and rounding to the nearest
integer would not be a problem.
