customized field captions

Where can I find the captions used for the Text or Number fields. For
example, Text1 I've defined a caption of "Initial Project Manager"

I can't help you with the Project database tables (I've never used
them), but I can tell you how to get the name of a custom field using
VBA. Use the CustomFieldGetName Method. Check the Project object browser
for the complete syntax.

I've been trying to get away from the VBA code. Just didn't see the caption
used in any of the MS Project tables that are downloaded.
