Customizine the current view fields

Kim

We have something strange happening to one of our users. He, of course,
swears he's not doing anything for this make this happen.

Without warning, his columns headings change. In his In Box he has the
following columns set to view in the Customize View window: Importance,
Icon, Attachment, From, Subject, Received and Flag Status. Without warning
the From column changes to the To column. Any idea what could be causing
this? Is there maybe a keystroke he could be hitting to switch this on him?
It's been going on for about 2 months now. We even gave him a new computer
and reloaded everything. Made a new profile for him and everything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kim

Same thing happens to me in my Sent Items folder only its the reverse ("To"
changes to "From"... which of course is always ME and is a rather useless
column in Sent Items). Not sure if its a keystroke thing but sometimes a
"customized" Current View will change to its default settings. Make sure his
Current View is indeed one of the pre-defined "Named" Views "Messages" or
"Messages with AutoPreview" and not the other one "Sent To."

If I remember correctly, MS did everyone more of UI disservice and moved the
"View" drop down to the Advanced toolbar (which is not On by default I don't
think). Right click on the toolbar and show the Advanced toolbar. This will
instantly show you what "Named View" is applied.

I've had a column disappear in one folder and after I fix it, I may have two
or three other folders that get messed up. When I go to change their columns,
I keep hoping I don't have to fix the first folder again. And no, I don't
have the same heading for all folders.

Does Microsoft Know about this and have a fix for it?

Thanks.
Randy
