Customizing "Display As" field in Outlook 2002

When I try to select names for a new email, the names are
sorted by first name and I have to select using the first
letter of the first name, then the second letter, etc. I
would rather the names be sorted by last name, but I
can't figure out how to make Outlook sort the list
differently. Any ideas?

Try this,,,, there are actually two different options that
I got off of this site since I experienced the same
problem.

Try in "Tools - Options - Preferences tab, Contact Options
button".

or try this; "Tools->Email Accounts->Directories->View or
Change. On the next page, set your display
order at the bottom of the dialogue box."

I actually made the changes in both locations and it
worked for me. However, you need to log out of outlook
and back in before the changes take place. Good Luck
