I have access to multiple peoples' inboxes because I need to check them occasionally for certain messages. However, I have no interest in getting new mail notifications (the popups in the lower right corner of my screen) for these mailboxes; I only want notifications for my own inbox. Is there a way to make this happen?

Thanks!

Eliminate the preference to notify you of new mail and instead create a
Rule that just acts on your primary account.

Hi, I am a little intimidated by all of the options when creating a rule. What would the rule look like to display a notification when a message arrives in my inbox? Thanks.

Hi, I am a little intimidated by all of the options when creating a rule.

If you use categories instead of individual addresses, you it's easier to
manage.
What
would the rule look like to display a notification when a message arrives in
my inbox? Thanks.

Under the Action section, select to Display dialog or Display Notification.
You can also use Growl notifications.

In the Exchange tab, you want:

If
Account
is
(your Exchange account)

Then
Display notification
Show Subject and Preview

Alternately instead of doing "Account," you could do "Folder" and then
your Inbox.
