Hello,
I am writing in reference to Trevor Rabey's suggestion from my previous
post to use a text field, customizing it to use a lookup table, for
displaying resources in the task sheet. This is a great advice and fits
exactly my needs. I renamed the field, created a lookup table with the
resources. The only problem I encountered so far is that I can't have
several values in that field. I want to have pretty much the effect I
get in the Resources field, where the different resources are separated
by a coma. However, in the custom field, when I choose an entry from the
drop-down list, than put a coma after it and choose another item again,
it replaces the first one instead of adding the second one to the field
(as would have happened in the Resources field). I checked the "Allow
additional item to be entered into the fields" option in the Edit Lookup
Table dialog box, but this only allows me to use text outside of the
lookup table and I still can't use commas. This problem is not too bad
for me as I could just create a couple of more custom fields and use the
same lookup table, but am curious if it's possible to do it with one
field. Thank you!
