customizing preview pane; making global changes?

Rather than going into each folder and change the VIEW > COLUMNS to
delete Projects, then do it again to delete Categories, then do it
again to add Size. Is there a way to do this globally, so I only have
to do it once?

I want to customize my preview view so I see in that preview pane:
FROM, SUBJECT, SIZE, and SENT (I don't want to use categories or
Projects).

Right now I seem to have to go in individually into each folder.
Thanks.

(Separately, if you have any advice on this other topic, please
help.)
Using Lotus Notes (on a Mac) I was able to double-click on an email,
edit inside the text field, remove attachments, and then save the
email (without the attachment, but WITH an automatic note that reports
that the attachment was removed). Is there a way to do this in
Entourage?

You can't go back and fix it, but any subfolders you make will have the same
column set-up as its parent. For example, set up your Inbox how you want it,
then when you create new folders, it will inherit the settings.

Yes, there are a couple of scripts that will do this.

Download one of the "remove attachment" scripts. They will save, remove and
link the saved files to the message, so you can open the file directly from
the message.

Also remove your outgoing attachments with a rule. This is assuming your
outgoing attachments are stored elsewhere on your computer. No need to have
them duplicated and filling up your database.
