Customizing Risk & Issue Lists

We have implemented MS Project Enterprise and are using SharePoint
services to track Risks and Issues. I have updated the lists to track
information important to our PM community; however, I am not proficient
in XML, so I thought I could make all of the customizations to one of
the sites, find the SCHEMA.XML file for that particular site and COPY
the customizations into the Risk and Issue template folders located on
the project server (Local_Drive: \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Web Server Extensions\60\TEMPLATE\1033\PWA\LISTS directory),
save that as my default templates which will be used for all of our
project sites.

I have found the templates (located in the directory above), but I
can't find the individual sharepoint sites, where I have made the
customizations. Any suggestions on finding the customized SCHEMA.XML
files?

Thanks again for the information. Now that I have uploaded the new WSS
Template, is there a way to synchronize all of the existing sites with
the new template?

I imagine that you might be able to do this programmatically.

Watch out for a problem we encountered and had MS Support find out why
it was happening. Once you have created a new site you can link it to
the project in the admin - manage sharepoint site. This was failling
for us at the client site but working in the office. The problem
related to the date format which needed to be keep in the US m/d/y in
the site. Once linked it could be set to Oz format d/m/y in the site
regional settings.
