CUSTOMIZING SUBFORMS

Hello Microsoft Community
I have added a subform to a regular form and it only displays the data in
the Form View as a database table. I need to know how to customize my form
so I can have the field on top of each other rather than a database table
format.

How do I customize a subform so I can arrange the fields to my own personal
preference?
