Customizing the Templates Dialog

Is it possible to customize the Templates Dialog window to display template
files located in a specific directory on a LAN? I would like to group
together various templates used by my organization and present the users with
a tab that displays them all and have them in a centralized location so that
we don't have to keep running around to everbody's laptop when a change is
made or a new one is added.

Have you tried clicking "Tools", "Options", "File Locations", then modifying
the "Workgroup templates" location on each computer to the same server
folder?
