Cut a map

Hello
I'm trying to cut in map of Russia in two. The thing is I don't need the
whole Russia, but only the Europe part of the Russia. I would like to know if
it's possible to erase one part of this country, to have only what I need and
thus a map not to large.

Yes--and it's actually pretty easy to do.

Look for the menu command "Fragment". In Visio 2003 it's under the Shape
menu->Operations->Fragment.

Draw a line bisecting the Russia map where you would like to divide it.
Select both the line and the map and select Fragment. Fragment will cut the
shape into two shapes. You can use Fragment with multiple overlapping
shapes. Test it out by take a circle and overlapping rectangle to see what
happens. Using a line and shape give you a quick way to slice a shape in
two.
