Hi, Does anybody know why when I cut and paste HTML code into the HTML part
of FrontPage the( < )character changes to (<) and various over changes
occur making the code unusealable? Sorry if its a silly question.

That's incorrect - it will not correct itself
The OP is either
- pasting into design or page view (not into code/html view as required)
- or pasting from a web page w/o first pasting to notepad to clear the html markup
