cut and Paste in MS Word not working properly

Hi, we have a user who uses the copy/paste feature in word extensively.
What is happening is she copies text into the clipboard, goes into
another document, and the paste/paste special icons are grayed out as
if nothing is in the clipboard.

We have tried minimizing the first document (the paste from document),
after copying, this does not work. We have also tried closing the first
document, this does not work either.

Recently what I did was blow away her user profile, and this worked for
a day, but then it is reverting to the old behaviour-the copy and paste
feature does not work.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Have you tried deleting the normal.dot file? Do a file search for it and
try deleting it if you haven't already. We constantly have to do that
because of another program we use that also uses Word. Our Word templates
become corrupt quite often. By the time we have to, it's blown up to about
3.5 mb.
