cut and paste problems with pictures

I have a document which has a large number of inserted pictures in it. When I
select a couple of pages and copy them to insert into my wiki the text is
copied correctly but the pictures are not copied. The only thing that shows
up is the name of the picture. I have tested this on a couple of wikis and
they all react in the same way. Please help!

Perhaps only unformatted text is allowed? See if you can find any information
on what formats can be used (there might be an FAQ).
