cut, copy paste are grayed out in MS Word

The cut copy, paste are grayed out from the Edit tab in MS word 2003. Even
the Options and Macro mnues are grayed out of tools tab. This is user profile
related and repairing Office and even re-installing it didn't solve the
issue. The Ctr+v and Ctr+c works fine but this is not an option.

Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest that you re-post your question to a Word newsgroup.

Please repost your question in a Word newsgroup. The webpage can be confusing;
the first alphabetical newsgroup (this one) refers to the database software
Microsoft Access. Please scroll down the list of subjects and find a newsgroup
for Word.
