Cut off in footer

when I enter a footer in a word document, the bottom portion of any
characters that appear below the baseline are cut off . the "g", the "q"
the "p" etc. What am I doing wrong ? I'm sure it has something to do with
margins and gutters, but I can't find anything concrete.

Thanks
John

I'm assuming you mean in the Print View rather than when printed - have you
got the line spacing set too tight in the "Footer" style?

NOPE!!! When printed in normal view on the screen, the letters show
normal. When printed (or in print preview), the letters are cut off

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but the footer is within the bottom margin
of the printer, isn't it?

Have you tried moving the footer up and seeing what happens?
