Cut Out

I need to "cut out" a smaller image from a larger image, not just crop or
"erase". When I used the "erase" feature, it apparently merely painted the
erased portion white. When I pasted the image into a Visio file the erased
portion still showed up in a white color surrounding the image I wanted to
paste. The same thing happened when pasted into a PowerPoint slide. I'm
designing a logo for my business and can use only the cut out portion. Does
Picture Manager have a "cut out" feature that will save only the portion of
the image I cut out, so I can paste it onto a second image and make it part
of that second image without the with background showing up around it?

It sounds like "crop" is exactly what you want to do - then save the cropped
image (which is just the part needed for your logo) to a new file.

Or "cut" the portion you want, paste that into a new image document.

It would help if you told us what image editor you are using.

Use a graphics program to manipulate your images and then insert them into
whatever file you need.
