Cut & Paste

M

me

How do I stop MS Word from telling me I've filled up my
twelve (12) things that I can cut and paste? I don't care
if it only keeps one (1) thing in its clipboard. I just
want to cut and paste that one thing at any time. I
checked Tools > Options > Edit and tried "Smart cut and
paste" but that doesn't stop the problem. How do I get it
to stop bothering me with this insistence that it hold 12
things in its memory instead of just deleting the first
item or just holding on to one thing? Ahgh! It's retarded!

You don't say what version you have, but I'm guessing it's Office 2000 since
the Office XP Clipboard holds 24 items (in Word 2002, it's on the Edit menu,
it's a task pane, and you can disable it). I don't find any information
about disabling the Office Clipboard in Office 2000, unfortunately.
