Cut text from WebPage + paste into Word 2003 document lasts really 10-20 seconds ?

When I cut a few lines of simple text from a web page (in Internet Explorer 6) and try to paste it
into an existing Word2003 document that the paste operation lasts approx. 10-20 seconds.

Is this normal ?

This occurs under Win2000 as well as under WinXP

How can I speed up pasting ?

Hi Matthias,

The default behavior for Word when copy/paste from an HTML source is for Word to work in HTML and connect to the web page for the
content. If you use Edit=>Paste Special and in Word choose a text listing other than 'HTML' you shouldn't see the delay.

Or use "Paste Special >> Unformatted Text"

Hi,

This is quite normal. When you paste directly off the IE, Word tries to
save
the format as listed in IE and hence the delay.

However, only suggestion for speeding up the process would be to paste the
data from the IE onto a Notepad and then onto Word.
