Cyclic Redundancy Check

Aaron

When trying to open a 3.5" disk that only contains Word
documents, I receive a "Cyclic Redundancy Check" error.
When I try to open the disk from the "A" drive it states
that the disk need formated. This disk has been
formated, and numerous Word docs are stored on it. Does
anyone know what this means? I was thinking possible
virus infection, but not sure. Please help!

Thank you.

Have the Word files been saved to this floppy from a Mac and then are you
trying to open the floppy on a PC? Or vice-versa? That could be it - they
don't go from one to the other. Of course I might be wrong but that is my
experience with them. :)

Cheers

Shaun
