cyrillic names in Outlook 2003 contacts?

I can not enter Russian text in Outlook contact manager. Russian language in
Office enabled. Russian keyboard present. When I sync contacts with my
PocketPC (which enters Russian names OK), they displayed in Outlook as
?????????????
