Daily Backup Schedule and Adminisrative Backup

Hi,
In the PWA-Daily Backup Schedule there is a Project Retention Policy
(versions) field. I like to know the meaning of this field.
One more thing is regarding the Administrative Backup, each time I'm backing
up objects, does it save a new version in the Archive Database?

The retention policy says how many archive versions of the project (or other
item) you keep in the archive database. So, if you have a daily schedule to
backup the projects to the archive database and you want to keep a weeks
worth of projects, then the retention policy should be 7.
