dailyjorunal powertoy crashes

i just installed the dailyjournal powertoy and am having weird behavior... if
i select the standard "daily journal" option (or use the hotkey or
double-click the tray icon) i get a .net exception... I can hit continue and
the application stays running but it doesn't perform the task (of creating a
page in onenote)...

if i select the "journal for date" option, the application seems to work
fine...

any thoughts on how to get the "daily journal" option to work correctly?

I was having the same problem until I followed the instructions here:

Works fine now. I only wish that under options you could select a default
template or set the rule lines for the new journal pages.
