This installed an icon to the Taskbar ok.
The icon auto-created a .one file named Dece0ber , where 0 = zero.

Now the icon does open this Dece0ber Section in a OneNote notebook named
2009.

Do I dare rename the section to December (to be less jarring)?
Will the icon point to this renamed section, or is hardwired to the Dece0ber
section title?

What about Jan... 2010 yet to come?

you can rename the section and the links should still work - they go by GUIDS
and filenames both.

Is this the addin from my blog? If so, I'd like to understand what went
wrong..

I got the DailyJournal (for OneNote) powertoy from tabletcev.com

Despite changing options in the setup, the taskbar icon continues to inject
a section named Dece0ber, and that's where theJournal notebook is opened up.

Continuing to use it.. despite instructions about overwriting the MMMMonth
field with a whole long month name, setting that Option to only a 3 or 4
letter month name seems to clear up some confusion for me in the naming of
the notebook.

Given the narrow Page title column on the right of the OneNote desktop the
date order of Day-Month-Year seems to help scrolling to a specific "Daily"
page.

Of course there is also a date choice available from a popup calendar via a
right-click on the DailyJournal icon in the taskbar.
