? Damaged OffceXP disc

Davee P

Upon installation of Office XP I get so far then get the
error message 1305 Setup cannot read file C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\ACWZDAT.MDT
This appears to be used by Access. I have tried a custom
install leaving out access and the rest of the suite
installs ok. I can not see any obvious damage to the disc
surface and have done all the usual disc cleaning etc.
Can this file be downloaded from somewhere or can someone
email it to me so I can upload it to my machine prior to
installation....if that would work.

Try cleaning the blank side of the cD with warm water and
lint free cloth, if the same error happens on another PC
then likely the disc is damaged and needs replaced.
Contact the Microsoft product order replacement help desk
at 800-360-7561. They usually charge around $23.00 for
replacement media.
