damaged office 97 / stolen office 2000 professional

Denise Robertson

I recentely reformatted my hard drive. I looked for my
office 2000 professional addition that I purchased through
my college bookstore and discovered it has been stolen, i
know who did it but can't prove it. I still had my copy
of office 97 and realized it is cracked.

How can I have my office 2000 traced and how can I have my
office 97 replaced?

Please I can't afford to purchase another copy of either
or a new version which I would love. This is the work I
do, I am currently disabled and use this for extra income
at times.

Please help, hurting in Michigan

Impossible to have 97 replaced as it's no longer supported (*ALL* support
was discontinued at the beginning of this year). Hotfix support for 2000
expires at the end of this month. Tracing the 2000, unless you had a minute
tracker device on it, or it was marked in some way, is going to be
impossible. You might just have to cut your losses and purchase 2003
(assuming you're running a supported OS - 2000 SP3+, XP or 2003).

Try ebay. They have plenty of listings for cheap Office
97 disks, but it's kind of expensive for Office 2000.

You could save money if you buy a full version of Office
95 and an upgrade version of Office 97 or 2000.
