Does anyone know anything about "Anchors" in a Word document ???!?!

The Help is of assistance if you want to use anchors but next to useless if you don't want to use them and want to remove them and/or an associated picture ?

Can someone Help ?

Cheers,
Steve

If you don't want to see them you can click on Tools / Options / View /
Object anchors (that's in Word 2000).
When you delete a picture its anchor is deleted too.

Does that help?

Thanks for that.
It WOULD be a great help if I was using Word 2000 but I'm only using 97 !!

Thanks anyway.

useless

Did you ever think to try and see if the same capability existed in Word
97???

Thanks for your input. Yes, the checbox also exists in Office 97; however,
showing (or not showing) anchors is not the problem.
The problem is the inability to manipulate pictures which have been
anchored.

I have both Word97 and Word2002 here and Word2000 at work. Could you send
me a short, sample file which illustrates your problem?
