DAO reference problems

Hi

I have copied a database we designed for one of clients to be re-used again.

For some reason the module has lost the reference to DAO 3.6 and every time
i try to reselect this reference i get a fatal msaccess.exe error and it
boots me out.

I can't really post my code as there is pages and pages of it.

Does this problem sound familiar to anyone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try creating a new database and setting the DAO reference in it before you
do anything else.

Import everything from the older database, and see whether that works.

I had a similar problem recently of losinbg a reference but I was able to
reinstall the reference. I am not sure if it was the problem but the
situation may have been caused when I moved the database from one version of
ACCESS 2002 down to 200 and then back up to 2002. Do not know why that would
have caused it since references I used existed in both version but it was the
only thing I could think of.
