DAP & OLE Server

I keep getting an error message regarding the OLE Server
isn't registered. I open on my computer (XP OS & Access
2003) and click new data access page and its fine. Go to
another computer (same as mine), and get the above error
when I want a new dap? Am I missing a setting??

Hi Kathy,

On the other computer do you get the error message in every database file?

If so, try installing the latest version of Microsoft Data Access
Components (MDAC), see:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-
b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en

Should installing latest version of MDAC not help then I would recommend
that you uninstall/reinstall Office.

Eric,

Thanks for your reply. We get the error message after
clicking Blank Data Access Page. When we try to open an
existing file we get the same error. We also tried using
the menus to see if it was a wizard problem. We tried
installing the new MDAC (2.8) from the website and didn't
help solve the problem. Could it be something with the
ODBC?
