.dat problems

R

RMP

For several months we have been creating Word X for Macs. We have been
emailing the docs to a distribution list with no problems. Last week the
file ended up as a .dat in everyone's email. No one could open it

Any solutions out there?
Thanks in advance...

Hi Rick:

The .dat is a TNEF (Transport Neutral Exchange Format) version of the text.

It occurs only if you specify "Rich Text" (RTF) as your email format.
Customers with Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express will be able to decode
it. Macs need a copy of "TNEFs Enough"

Cheers
