Data Access Page used for Data Entry

Hi!

I'm creating a Data Access Page for the first time. I want
to be able to edit and add data on the page to an existing
table.

The page displays the table contents by showing one record
at a time, but in the record navigation toolbar the
buttons used for data entry are not highlighted.

Can you please tell me what the problem could be. All the
fields in the table are updatable.
