Data Access Page

I am using Data Access Page and after going into design /Page
Properties/Data/ConnectionString/Build it hangs up. We are using this to
enter Work Orders I am going to another server so I tried changing the path
to that server but it didn't work. I updated all the lastest stuff from
Microsoft thinking that might help but it didn't. I have another computer
(laptop) that I can change the path just fine but I want to figure out why
the laptop works but the other doesn't. Both are Microsoft Windows 2000
5.00.2195 with service pack 4. The laptop using Access 2002 the desktop is
now using Access 2003. Both are also using Office 2003
