I have created a database that will allow an operator to
choose a customer, location, and equipment and add or
update new issues that arise concerning the equipment.
One of our guys keeps up the Excel sheet that this is
replacing. He would be the one who needs to use the form.
Not all of our company has Access, in fact, very few of us
do. I think we do have it on the terminal server, though.
The preferred way would be to put it online, which I
thought was going to be easy. It turns out (as far as I
can tell) that you cannot put complex forms on data access
sheets. It looks like you can only post first-level forms
which doesn't allow you to, say, specify the equipment on
an issue. I did get it to specify a customer, but that
doesn't help me too much.
The only solution I can see is to somehow get this guy
Access, off the server or any other way, and then post the
information to the web for the rest of the clan. The
problem is, they all would like the ability to update it.
