data analysis server name changed - how to change it in excel view

Our IS dept changed the Data Analysis Server's name. This has impacted any
data analysis view that was exported to excel (and we have a lot of users
that do this).

I'm looking for a step-by-step that I can send to our users telling them how
to change the name of the data analysis server in their exported excel files.

Hi Dan, the step by step instructions will depend on the version of Excel.
I'm sure they are different with 2002, 2003 and 2007. When you created the
connection from Excel to the OLAP cube, you'll have run a wizard to create
the connection string. You'll need to open excel and look for the option to
modify the existing connection to the OLAP cube. It might be worth a post to
the excel forum if you can't find it.
