Data Collection by email - blank fields

I am trying out the data collection by email, and had it working a few days
ago, but now all my email messages have blank data boxes - whether I set the
field as "read only" or not. Another way to state this is that the data I
have now is not being inserted into the update email messages, so there is
nothing for the recipients to review and update. Very irritating. I did a
Microsoft Update this week - maybe a new patch disabled something?

I hate to be the one not confirming this. I tried the setup you posted and it
still works perfectly for me. Adding new records and updating records. So my
guess is that there must be something else going on.

I have to say I tested on WinXP - Office 2007 don't know how it will go
under Vista but my guess would be the same.

Thanks for your feedback - here's some more info - the table I'm trying to
generate messages from is an imported query from an access data project file
I use to administer an SQL server-based database. To see if it was a quirk
of that imported object, I built a dummy table with simple data and am able
to create update messages with data included.
Here's a weird thing - when I go through the data collection wizard on the
dummy table, the step asking to gather new data vs. update existing is
included, BUT, when I run the wizard on the imported table, the new vs.
update question is never asked - hmmm.

Could it be that SQL is not allowing this feature?? I've not tested this but
it would be no suprise to me if this can only be done to access tables.
