Data Discrepancy Between Project pro and PWA

C

Charles L. Simpson

I'm hoping to get some help on this issue today as one of my users is trying
to generate a report with this information. If I need to provide any
addition information, please let me know.

On all of my projects, the Finish Variance on PWA and in on the Project
Summary line in Pro are not in sync.

For instance, on this one project the Finish Variance in Project Pro
is -2.94d and on PWA it says that the Finish Variance is -2.35d.

Any ideas as to why these to are not in sync?

Thanks!

Has the PM changed the Hours Per Day value in Tools - Options - Calendar for
the project in question? This impacts how Microsoft Project calculates
Duration in the project plan, but does not impact how PWA calculations
Duration. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale

I'm going to have a testing resource create a test case for this issue and
test it in another environment. I'll post back my findings.

Thanks Dale changing the project calendar to be the same as the enterprise
calendar did correct the data discrepancy issues we were noticing between
PWA and Project Pro.
