Hello,
I am investigating an issue where our clients are noticing that data in
saved workbooks appear to have changed after copies were made of these files
and data was entered in the copies. No linkage should exist between originals
and copies, the files have been saved under different names.
The xls workbook consists of two sheets, one where information is entered, a
second where pricing information is presented based on calculations using the
data entered in the first sheet. A macro is being used to insert new columns
on both sheets that provide room for additional data entry.
Our clients frequently copy this original pricing document and work with the
copies. They also seem to be making copies of copies and manipulate data in
the latest document.
Whatever the procedure, the document is not intentionally maintaining
linkages between copies. yet data gets updated unexpectedly.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Your insights are much appreciated.
Cheers
